  • 1954
  • Lancia begin their motorsport career in Formula One entering the Lancia D50 into the Spanish Grand Prix
  • Only a year later lancia withdraw from Formula One following the death of driver Alberto Ascari as well as 'financial issues'
  • 1965
  • Lancia return to motorsport for the first time since their F1 failure, absorbing the HF Squadra Corse racing team.
  • The same year the Lancia Fulvia Coupé makes its debut at the Tour de Course and goes on to win every Italian Rally Championship, with the exception of 1970, until 1973.
  • 1972
  • Lancia win the International Championships for Manufacturers title with the Fulvia Coupé Rallye
  • The front wheel drive Fuliva will continue to be produced until 1976. Lancia Fulvia Coupe
  • 1973
  • Lancia begin production of the 200 Lancia HF Stratos they required to homologate the model for the following year's championship. Lancia Stratos Stradale
  • 1974
  • The Lancia Stratos HF takes over from the Fulvia and, thanks to points scored by the Fulvia, goes on to win the World Rally Championship Title Lancia Stratos
  • The Stratos will go on to win the championship for the next three years.
  • 1979
  • The production of the first generation Lancia Delta begins.
  • This year marks the release of the Delta 1300 4-speed and 5-speed as well as the Delta 1500 Lancia Delta 1500
  • 1982
  • Lancia produces 200 RWD Lancia 037 Stradales to homoligate the 037 for the 1982 World Rally Championship Season. Lancia 037 Stradale
  • 1983
  • Lancia wins the World Rally Championships Constructor title with Walter Röhrl and Markku Alen at the wheels of two 037's. Lancia 037
  • The Lancia HF enters production.
  • 1985
  • 200 Lancia Delta S4 stradales are produced to homologate the 4wd into the WRC.
  • The Delta HF Turbo is released. Delta HF Turbo
  • 1986
  • S4 enters 12 WRC events and wins 5 before group B is abolished following the fatal crash of Henri Toivonen on the 1986 Tour de Course.
  • Delta HF 4WD is introduced, taking the crown as the top of the range Delta Lancia HF 4WD
  • 1987
  • Lancia Delta HF 4WD wins both the drivers and manufacturers titles of the World Rally Championship Delta HF 4WD WRC
  • 1988
  • The Lancia 8V takes over mid season to win both titles once again. Delta 8V WRC
  • 1989
  • The 16V makes its debut and once again Lancia go on to win both the Manufacturers and Drivers titles Delta 16V WRC
  • 1990
  • Lancia continue to win titles with the Delta through to 92, although their withdrawl from rallying in 91 means only private teams are left to hold up the mantle.
  • 1992
  • The Lancia Delta 'Evoluzionne' is the last Lancia in history to win a WRC title. Lancia Delta Evo Safari
